Last night (July 25), Melanie Fiona brought the house down at Le Bain at The Standard Hotel in New York City for Steve Madden's Music Summer Concert Series.

Melanie did a tribute to Amy Winehouse covering the late singer's hits "Rehab" and "F*ck You Pumps", "Come On Over". The siren took the audience back to the 90's performing The Fugees' "Killing Me Softly" then bringing them into the new millennium with her own hits including "It Kills Me" off her debut album The Bridge as well as new music from her upcoming sophomore album The MF Life.

This past weekend, the world lost a star, Amy Winehouse. Gone, but in no way shape or form will ever be forgotten, the UK soul sistah's music will forever live on. In memory of such a great talent, Melanie Fiona released a video of herself singing her favorite Amy Winehouse song, "Wake Up Alone".

"Earlier on this year, I made this video and never posted it.  Today, its all I can do to express my gratitude to one of my favorite artists. May your music live on to inspire others as it has inspired me.

Co-hosted by actresses Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King, “Black Girls Rock!” honored some of the most exceptional women of color in their respective industries including: Angela Davis, Shirley Caesar, Taraji P. Henson, Laurel J. Richie, Imani Walker, Malika Saada Saar, and Tatyana Ali. Memorable performances and appearances were made by  Melanie Fiona, Mary Mary, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, and more!
